The Shoal La Jolla

The Shoal is conveniently located a few blocks away from Nautilus Avenue- a scenic residential street that will lead you to one of the most prominent hills in La Jolla. Mt. Soledad is a natural landmark with an incredible 360 panoramic view of San Diego county. It also houses a historic memorial that pays respect to many notable American veterans that served our country through military service. On a clear day you can observe expansive views of San Diego and beyond. To the south- you can capture the bay of San Diego, its downtown skyline and Mexico’s mountain landscape as a backdrop. To the east you will observe the mountains of the Cleveland National Forest with Cuyamaca Mountain making its mark as the highest peak in all of San Diego County. To the North- the canyonlands and hills of north county weave together into a green tapestry connecting together the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean with the rugged terrain of Palomar Mountain State Park. In just a ten-minute drive, or if you have the endurance to trek the summit by foot, reaching the top of Mt. Soledad is a must during your visit to La Jolla!
